What this can and cannot do

The counts are exact. The marks are my opinion of tired phrases, filler and padded words, from lists you can read and change in data/phrases.js. Plenty of good writing uses them on purpose.

The fixes are not an AI and nothing is uploaded. Alternatives come from small built-in lists (data/swaps.js), so for many phrases there is no suggestion, and a suggestion can be wrong for your sentence. Spelling uses a standard word list, and it will mark names and made-up words. The grammar checks are only a few simple rules: a or an, doubled words, capital letters and spacing. It cannot catch wrong word choice, tense or sentence structure. Always read your text again, and use Undo if a change reads badly. It does not tell you whether a person or an AI wrote something. It works on English and runs in your browser.
